I am often asked: “How would you describe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in one sentence?” Quite simply, I believe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the region in which to live. It is a beautiful place which is rich in nature, with stunning Lakeland landscapes and close to the sea, and a location that attracts many people.
We like to think innovatively and sustainably here. We are making our federal state into an attractive place for both families and young people, for new business start-ups, for entrepreneurs and for creative minds. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has an ideal location, being situated between the major cities of Hamburg, Szczecin, Berlin and Copenhagen. The Baltic Sea is the sea which links us with our neighbours in Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic countries. We offer people great prospects for the future here – with the space for ideas that characterises Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
